I do not live in France, can I still benefit from keratopigmentation?
Yes, we regularly receive patients from Europe, Africa, the Middle East, North America, and Asia. Everything is organized to facilitate your visit.
Is the procedure covered by insurance?
No, it is not covered by Social Security or mutual insurance companies.
Does keratopigmentation impair vision or color perception?
No. The pigment is inserted into a peripheral area of the cornea that does not interfere with the visual axis. Vision remains intact.
Do I need to stay at the clinic after the operation?
No, you can go home the same day after a short rest.
How can I know which color will suit me best?
A simulation is offered during the consultation to visualize the rendering.
Is keratopigmentation painful?
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia using eye drops. It is therefore painless. Some people may experience slight discomfort or a gritty sensation in the hours that follow, but no acute pain is reported.
How long does the procedure take?
The procedure lasts approximately 30 minutes. You will remain awake throughout the procedure.
